Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who has missed his team's historic 24-1 start to the season while dealing with complications from back surgeries, plans to increase his workload beginning this week.

During the Warriors' five-game homestand that starts Wednesday night, Kerr will see if he can handle the rigors of an eventual return to the bench this season.

Cleveland point guard Kyrie Irving said he won't make his season debut Thursday night.
A team source told ESPN.com that Irving planned to play at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Irving's final hurdle before the Cavs approve of his return will involve a series of physical tests to measure his body's strength and responsiveness, according to ESPN.

Brooklyn Nets guard Shane Larkin was diagnosed with a concussion, one day after he was injured during practice, the team announced.
Larkin will not be cleared to return to the court until he passes the NBA's concussion protocol guidelines. He was knocked down late in practice on Tuesday, but that the time he complained only of upper back and neck stiffness.
