Ha Seung-jin, the first Korean to play in the NBA, will join the South Korean national team for next month's Asian Games after being waived by the Milwaukee Bucks.
The towering huge centre missed much of the pre-season with sprained knee ligaments and was released by the Bucks last week, according to a report in the Korea Times.
After two seasons with Portland, Ha was traded to the Bucks this year as part of a four-player deal that included sending Jamaal Magloire to the Trail Blazers.
Ha averaged 1.5 points in 46 games with Portland.
