Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James told reporters that he is getting better with age after helping his team to a 129-107 win over the Phoenix Suns.
James put up 28 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists to record his 14th triple-double of the season, a new personal record for one season.
When asked afterwards about his performance James said: "You can just say I'm like fine wine, I get better with age. That's what it says."
It was put to James that one of the reasons that his statistics keep rising is because the league is played at a faster pace which means more possession for teams.
"More possessions, my ass. What are you talking about?" James retorted.
"I'm getting better with age, that's what it's saying."
The game was James’ 69th triple-double of his career which puts him sixth on the all-time list.
He is currently behind Oscar Robertson (181), Magic Johnson (138), Jason Kidd (107), Russell Westbrook (100) and Wilt Chamberlain (78).
