The Golden State Warriors were no match for the red-hot Boston Celtics in the NBA on Sunday. The Celtics led by a franchise-record 44 points at half-time on their way to a 140-88 victory as they secured their third win by 50 or more points this season, which is an NBA record. There were also wins for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers and San Antonio Spurs.

The Boston Celtics secured the third-largest winning margin in their history as they crushed the Golden State Warriors to record their 11th straight NBA victory.
The Celtics led by a franchise-record 44 points at half-time on their way to a 140-88 blowout win.
It is the third time the Celtics have won a game by 50 points or more this season, which is an NBA record.
Jaylen Brown led the scoring with 29 points for the Celtics and Jayson Tatum netted 27 on his 26th birthday.
"It feels great, but, at the same time, it's always within humility," said Brown.
"We don't take the game for granted. We didn't come and mess around and that's just how we show our respect to the game, we handle business and take care of it…It's a lot of respect for the Golden State Warriors, but we feel like it's our time now."
The Celtics are now 8.5 games clear of second-placed Milwaukee Bucks at the top of the Eastern Conference.
"It was a lot of fun," said Boston's Derrick White.
"It was a good start. You never expect something like that to happen."
Steph Curry scored just four points for the Warriors and didn’t play the second half as head coach Steve Kerr opted to rest his stars in the face of a heavy loss.
"The way that they've been playing, they seem very sure of themselves in their identity and who they are," Curry said.
"Give them credit. They came out and whooped us tonight from the jump, and it was one of those perfect storms of a rough [day] on our end and them taking it to us."
Oklahoma City Thunder took over at the top of the Western Conference after beating the Phoenix Suns 118-110.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points for the Thunder as they moved ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who were beaten narrowly by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Kawhi Leonard made two late free throws to put the Clippers three points ahead and they held on to win 89-88.
Luka Doncic’s third consecutive 30-point triple-double couldn’t prevent the Dallas Mavericks slipping to a 120-116 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Doncic finished with 38 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, but it was the 76ers, led by 28 points from Tobias Harris and without reigning MVP Joel Embiid, who came out on top.
Victor Wembanyama scored 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Indiana Pacers 117-105.
The New York Knicks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-98 behind 28 points from Donte DiVincenzo.
