West Indies all rounder Chris Gayle has been fined 30 percent of his match fee on Wednesday for a code of conduct breach during the narrow Champions Trophy victory over Australia. Gayle and Australia batsman Michael Clarke exchanged words in the middle during the Group A game in Mumbai.
The West Indies won the match by 10 runs as Jerome Taylor took a hat-trick to held them successfully defend 234-6.
Gayle and Clarke were summoned for a disciplinary hearing after the game where the Australian player was found not guilty, an ICC spokesman said.
