Jonna Sundling and Emma Ribom topped the cross-country skiing team sprint rostrum for Sweden at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Slovenia. Sundling won the individual title on Thursday to affirm her position as the pre-eminent cross-country sprint star in the women's discipline. Norway came second second behind Sweden, with the USA in third.

Emma Ribom and Jonna Sundling topped the podium with a time of 19:40.73.
Norway's Anne Kjersti Kalva and Tiril Udnes Weng secured silver 2.42 seconds back.
The United States pair of Jessie Diggins and Julia Kern took bronze, 5.33 seconds off the pace.
Then, in the men's event, Norway's Paal Golberg and Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo claimed gold with a time of 17:28.14.
Francesco De Fabiani and Federico Pellegrino of Italy finished 2.48 seconds behind the winners, while France's Renaud Jay and Richard Jouve completed the podium, 16.48 seconds back.
