So, Contador moves back into the pink jersey straight away. And he now has a large 2:28 gap on Fabio Aru at the top of the standings, with Andrey Amador up to third place at 3:36. Uran and Van den Broeck leapfrog Astana pair Caltaldo and Landa into the top five.
16:06
Confirmation of the stage victory for Team Sky's Vasil Kiryienka, who completed the 59.4km individual time trial in a time of 1:17.52. Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana) is second at 12 seconds and Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) third at 14 seconds. Patrick Gretsch (Ag2R-La Mondiale) is fourth at 23 seconds and Steven Kruijswijk (LottoNL-Jumbo) fifth at 1:09.
59.4km
Here comes Fabio Aru - and it's 29th place 3:01 down on stage winner Vasil Kiryienka of Sky.
16:02
Aru still one kilometre to go... earlier Andrey Amador set the 14th best time - and he may well be in third place on GC tonight.
15:58
Landa trickles over the line after his trubled effort, and we have just Fabio Aru on the road now. He won't finish for another five minutes or so because of the losses conceded to Contador.
59.4km
Contador passes Landa before the finish, and he's close to taking the stage win... but he just misses out. Team Sky's Vasil Kiryienka holds on for the win, with Contador coming home 14 seconds down and just behind compatriot Luis Leon Sanchez of Astana.
59.4km
Kreuziger comes home 3:52 down.
59.4km
Dario Cataldo of Astana comes home in 36th position, 3:34 down on Kiryienka.
15:50
Contador is out of the saddle as he dances through the throngs of spectators towards the top of the climb ahead of the descent down to the finish. He'll be back in pink tonight and he'll have quite a gap.
49.5km
At the third check at Col San Martino, Aru was 2:59 down on the leader - which is 2:08 down on his rival Contador...
59.4km
Rigoberto Uran crosses the finish line after a torrid time trial - the Colombian comes home a huge 2:45 down on Kiryienka in 22 position. A shadow of the man who won last year's long time trial in Barolo.
59.4km
It's the 30th best time at the finish, 3:17 down on Kiryienka, for Italy's Damiano Caruso (BMC).
49.5km
Contador is grimacing his way towards the Col San Martino check point. He's fourth and so smashing his other GC contenders - but it probably won't be enough to topple Kiryienka for this stage.
15:41
15km remain for Fabio Aru, the last man on the road. He's improved in this hillier section of the course, but he will still lose his pink jersey this afternoon.
15:40
The fans are out in their droves on the Col San Martino, which Uran is currently tackling. Not the best time for Uran, but he's going to be better than Porte that's for sure.
15:35
Aru has been improving on the climbs and his deficit is down to 1:55 on Contador.
59.4km
Belgium's Jurgen van den Broeck crosses the finish line 1:25 on Kiryienka in sixth place. Not bad for the Lotto Soudal rider, who will look to cement his position in the top ten today.
35km
And here comes Aru... and the pink jersey is riding dangerously close to the local fans as he nears the top of this climb for the second time check... and it's a pained effort... way down in 45th place, three minutes down on Kiryienka - so already over two minutes down on Contador, who could have a 3min+ cushion at the finish.
35km
Contador has set the eighth best time at the second check, 1:15 down on Kiryienka's target. But he's eating a huge amount from his rivals, with Aru said to be over three minutes down already...
59.4km
Team Sky's Leopold Konig recovered to set the 10th best time at the finish, at 1:44.
