Good morning and welcome to live coverage of the 107th edition of Milan-San Remo. It's the first monument of the season - a largely flat 291km schlep from Milan along the Ligurian coast which ends with the traditional lumpy finale ahead of a fast finish in San Remo.

Finally some attacks: Tony Gallopin soars clear as Fedi is caught. But the Frenchman can't make a gap, leading to a dig from Michal Kwiatkowski of Team Sky.

The pace has slowed on the Poggio - it seems very tactical out there as BMC and Katusha control things, setting a tempo which isn't too fast, causing the pack to bunch up once again.
