What a lead out there by Garmin-Cervelo, making the most of Cavendish being caught up by a spill on the final bend. Dumoulin went down and forced Cav wide. The Manxman had to settle for fifth.
16:25
Result: 1. Farrar, 2. Feillu, 3. Rojas.

But Garmin pull this out of the bag! What a lead out by Hushovd! And Farrar looks to have it... just pipping Romain Feillu!

Geraint Thomas attacks! He's gone for a long one! There's a crash behind him...

It won't be enough for the Italian. HTC are reeling him in. Hushovd is lurking, with Farrar. Philippe Gilbert in green is there too.
2km
Slight rise now, as a Lampre man goes clear, followed by a Vacansoleil rider. It's Marcato. He has a small gap.
3km
Over the bridge into Redon, then a sharp right-hander. But it's still HTC. Surely this has Cav written all over it?
4km
Right, it's a five man train for HTC. Renshaw, Goss, Eisel and Cav are all there. Petacchi is in Cav's wheel. Omega Pharma-Lotto lurking too.
5km
Saxo Bank on the front too now. It's a real fruit salad of colours and teams.
5km
It's HTC again, from Lampre, on the front. Cavendish v Petacchi?
6km
Wow, the peloton is strung out massively: about 300m tip to toe. The Cofidis group are back with the peloton, but way down on the tail end.
8km
Now it's Katusha driving the pace for their man Galimzyanov. Vacansoleil are there too: they have Bozic, Feillu and De Gendt for the sprint.
8.5km
Delage and Gutierrez are caught. Game on for the bunch sprint preparations...
9km
After the stage one debacle, all the favourites will hope to keep out of trouble and avoid any potential pile ups. But that will just make the general atmosphere of the peloton all the more nervous...
10km
Bad scrabble score Taaramae now has four Cofidis team-mates pacing him back to the peloton. The two leaders have just 15 seconds and will be caught very soon.

Front puncture for Rein Taaramae! He's changing wheels with Leonardo Duque, but he will have a real fight to get back onto the front of the peloton now. Terrible timing for the Estonian.

Quick Step's Jerome Pineau drops back to talk to the team car. They'll eye a win for Boonen, Ciolek or Steegmans today.

That's an incredible sight: all nine HTC riders are in a line on the right of the road - clearly making up for yesterday's TTT disappointment.
