Charteau claims victory

Anthony Charteau claimed overall victory at the Tour of Langkawi after a leaisurely final stage in Kuala Lumpur.

The French Credit Agricole rider maintained his lead of over a minute from Selle Italia's Colombian duo Jose Serpa and Walter Padraza.

The last 56km stage provided few thrills, but it allowed sprint star Alberto Loddo to claim his fifth stage victory of the race.

The Italian proved himself much too strong for a moderate field in Malaysia, but has proved himself an able sprinter ahead of the season's UCI Pro Tour.

On this occasion Loddo outlasted Nikolai Trusov of Tinkoff Credit Systems and Ceramiche Panaria Nivagare's Maximiliano Richeze.
