Ullrich out of time trial

The two-time world champion dropped out of last weekend's Giro dell'Emilia because of the tummy bug.
"At the moment I just can't sit on the saddle," Ullrich said on his website. "It's impossible for me to get in a condition that would allow me to be in contention for the title in just two days," he added.
"Whether I can compete in the road race will be decided later this week.
"I can't eat anything without being sick ... I don't know whether it's food poisoning or a virus."
After a disappointing season that saw him finish only fifth in the Tour de France, Ullrich turned heads with his promising win last Wednesday in the Coppa Sabatini.
The relatively hilly Verona course could suit the 30-year old Rostock native should he win his race to be fit on Sunday.
