Nikolay Gryazin’s run of bad luck in the FIA European Rally Championship has continued after he retired from stage five of the Cyprus Rally.
The Russian teenager was firmly in contention for a podium finish on the challenging event but stopped during the second run through Kalo Chorio in his Sports Racing Technologies ŠKODA Fabia R5 amid reports of a damaged radiator.
Gryazin was fastest on the opening stage on his return to action following the car fire that forced him out of the lead of the SEAJETS Acropolis Rally earlier this month.
