Kajetan Kajetanowicz will not be going any further on the opening leg of Barum Czech Rally Zlín, the defending FIA European Rally Champion stopping on the road section following stage four.
The LOTOS Rally Team driver had complained of a lack of power from his Ford Fiesta R5 on SS4, suspecting a problem with the exhaust.
He had been sitting in third place overall, and intends to restart tomorrow.
Kajetanowicz came into the event with a chance of securing his second ERC title, but the title fight is now likely to go on to Rally Liepajā, even though he can still claim some leg points tomorrow.
