Pepe López will do all he can to achieve a strong result when the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship resumes on Rally di Roma Capitale later this month.
The Peugeot Rally Academy driver heads to the asphalt event, an all-new addition to the ERC schedule for 2017, on the back of a crash on Rally Rzeszow and a tough Barum Czech Rally Zlín where he finished a distant sixth in class in his Peugeot 208 T16.
“We managed to finish the race, but it was a tough weekend for us because we weren’t able to find our usual pace,” López said following his Barum Czech Rally Zlín debut. “We now need to take a hard look at what happened, identify the positives and do our best to be stronger in Rome.”
Rally di Roma Capitale takes place from 15-17 September. López is second in the standing behind provisional champion Marijan Griebel and eight ahead of third-placed Josh Moffett.
