Bruno Magalhães used the recent ERC Awards Ceremony to reiterate his hopes of a return to the FIA European Rally Championship in 2019.
Magalhães pushed Alexey Lukyanuk for title glory in his SEAJETS-backed ŠKODA Fabia R5, only to run short of funds ahead of the penultimate event of the season in Poland.

In his absence, Lukyanuk became the first Russian to win the ERC title while a further non-entry on Rally Liepāja, coupled with a second consecutive victory from Nikolay Gryazin, meant the Portuguese slipped to third in the final reckoning.

“I am going to try to continue in ERC because it’s the championship l love,” Magalhães said earlier this season. “The last two years were the best of my career. I achieved very important results. It was a very, very good atmosphere in these last two years and I am going to do everything I can to continue so I am focused now on 2019.”

Magalhães was one of two ARC Sport-run drivers honoured in Paris on 3 December with Emma Falcón (left) also in attendance to receive her reward for winning the ERC Ladies’ Trophy.
