Alexandros Tsouloftas will become the first Cypriot to mount an FIA ERC1 Junior Championship challenge from next week’s Azores Rallye – and this is how his ŠKODA Fabia R5 will look.
Featuring a striking black and yellow colour scheme, the design will be aired in public when the Azores Rallye takes place from 21-23 March.
The ERC stage winner and title contender in the category for young stars in R5 cars has joined the Germany-based Toksport WRT operation for his first full European championship campaign, having made a handful of appearances since he took up the sport in 2016 after injury cut short his career is a powerlifter.
Ahead of the 2019 season, Tsouloftas said: “My target is the ERC1 Junior title and thereafter try to aim as high as possible in the overall classification. However, I know that the first year is for building up experience of all events.”
Tsouloftas is one of eight ERC Junior drivers competing in the Azores for the first time. He will be co-driven by compatriot Antonis Chrysostomou.
