World run boosts ERC’s experience-chasing von Thurn und Taxis

Albert von Thurn und Taxis will increase his growing rallying experience this week when he makes his world championship debut on ‘home’ soil.
Although he lives in Rome, ex-GT racer von Thurn und Taxis was born in Germany and flies the German flag on the ŠKODA Fabia R5 he uses in the FIA European Rally Championship.
“Our focus is not on maximum performance, rather we want to take it easy and make some progress in our development,” said von Thurn und Taxis, who will link up with co-driver Klaus Wicha for the first time.
Following ADAC Rallye Deutschland, von Thurn und Taxis will switch his focus back to his second season-long ERC campaign, which resumes on Barum Czech Rally Zlín from 24-26 August.
