93'
FULL TIME! Nigeria 1-0 Burundi. A final chance for Burundi as Razak headed Bigirimana's corner over. You wouldn't say it was a deserved win for Nigeria but while coach Gernot Rohr may not have got his starting team right, he made the needed alterations bringing on Ahmed Musa and Odion Igahlo which changed the game.
91'
Three minutes of injury time will be played. Mohammed Amissi comes on for Saido Berahino who has looked as rusty as you'd expect for a player who didn't play league football after February this year.
90'
Burundi
Three minutes to be added on. Burundi haven't given up but don't look incisive enough to get on the scoresheet.
86'
Nigeria
Another good effort from Ighalo. Fed by Iwobi, who surely must stay in this number ten role, the substitute fired the ball a yard over the bar from just outside the box.
79'
Watching the goal again, it was certainly not in keeping with the game. Aina drifted inside from his position as an overlapping full back and totally wrong-footed the defence with his backheel. Nigeria's leading scorer in qualifying, Ighalo let the ball run across him, opened his body and then clipped home. Made you wonder why he was sat on the sideline till the closing stages.
78'
Almost a great chance for Burundi to equalise. Daniel Akpeyi a disputed choice as first-choice keeper for the Super Eagles dropped a regulation catch and just avoided an opponent getting a shot on goal.
77'
GOAL! Ighalo nets for Nigeria with a classy finish after an audacious backheeled through ball from Ola Aina.
75'
Musa hits a superb ball with the outside of his right boot into the feet of Igahlo but the former Watford striker couldn't bring it under control.
73'
Substitution: Nigerian dangerman Odion Igahlo comes on for Paul Onuachi who showed little threat up top.
70'
Nigeria
Lovely run from Chukwueze, slaloming in from the right flank to the left edge of the penalty area where his attempted cross has Nahimana scampering back to ensure it drifts wide of the goal.
66'
Nigeria now taking control of proceedings but cannot create a clear opening.
61'
Nigeria
Musa's first involvement is almost impactful. Iwobi, now in a central role, flicked the ball wide to Musa who raced into the box and drilled a low ball that Nahimana gathered at the second attempt.
58'
Substition: Gernot Rohr was listening to me. Former Leicester forward Ahmed Musa comes on for John Obi Mikel.
55'
You've got to think Iwobi would be better placed in a central role behind the striker. Or Chekwueze. Or anyone but Obi Mikel really. Even in his best days you'd never accuse the Nigerian skipper of being a flair player.
51'
Nigeria
Finally a decent set piece! Ndidi takes over dead-ball duties for the Super Eagles and whips a fine curling ball to the back post but Omeruo can't keep his header down.
50'
Burundi
Iwobi gives the ball away 30 yards from his goal and Razak eventually gets the ball to Cedric who cannot keep his shot down.
47'
Cedric attempts an audacious low free kick from the left flank but it is deflected off the two man wall and flies just wide of the goal.
46'
Back underway in the second half. Nigeria after a rocket from their coach you'd think.
HALF TIME: Nigeria 0-0 Burundi. Not a classic by any means but certainly competitive and the best moments have come from the underdogs.
44' Chekwueze is brought down on the right flank and puts the ensuing free kick into the box but it is easily cleared by man of the half Bigirimana.
