Hello and welcome to the second day of the AFCON, and the second match in Group B as Tunisia and Cape Verde prepare to do battle. It's all very open after Zambia claimed a draw against the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and though Tunisia are the handier side on paper, they've been disrupted by injury and 'strange events', to quote their coach. Cape Verde got to the quarter-finals just two years ago - can they repeat that effort again this year?

A well-rehearsed set-piece, but it's overhit and comes to nothing. Final whistle then, and it's 1-1 - a reasonably but perhaps not completely reflective result of the game. Cape Verde will curse their inability to finish off their chances, while Tunisia will be disappointed to have failed to hold out after scoring fairly late. All in all, not a bad show. Thanks for joining us.

Algeria have a free-kick, about 35 yards out. Last chance of the game...

Not exactly the nail-biting finale we were hoping for here. Both teams look reasonably happy with their point, although they will both feel they should have won it.

Ragued on, Saihi off for Tunisia as they make the last of their substitutions. Can either side steal a victory?

And now a somewhat surprising change for Cape Verde, who take off Kuca, their most dangerous player, for Fortes.

Tunisia go for it with two late subs. The disappointing Khazri is replaced by Msakni, while Rejaibi comes on for the lively but frustrating Akaichi.

And now Tunisia almost score again! A free-kick is hoisted in and Abdennour gets a free header on it, but he can't direct it away from the 'keeper and the chance is gone.

GOAL! Tunisia 1-1 Cape Verde. Heldon's run-up doesn't exactly exude confidence, but he puts it away smartly nonetheless and brings his side a deserved equaliser. Can anyone snatch it in the final fifteen minutes?

Penalty to Cape Verde! It's a clear foul, and they now have the chance to equalise...

Cape Verde not out of it yet though - some suicidal goalkeeping from Mathlouthi here, shoving a deep free-kick right to a blue shirt in the area, but the Tunisian defence quickly smother him before he can get his shot away.

GOAL! Tunisia 1-0 Cape Verde! Tunisia finally get their breakthrough, and it's a fine finish too. A low ball scythes across the Cape Verdean penalty area, and Ali Moncer is lurking at the back post. It's a tight angle and the goalkeeper is there but he puts it into the roof of the net to give his side the lead.r

It's all Tunisia now. Have Cape Verde blown it through squandering those earlier chances?

Tunisia hit the bar! And then get the ball in the net! But no, it's ruled out. The referee didn't like the challenge on Vozinha, who was back in his six-yard box as he was challenged for the rebound. We're still level here, but that's by far the closest Tunisia have come.
63'
Still no changes from either side, surprisingly - one would think Tunisia might have blinked by now, but we're still waiting.

Akaichi still has the burst of pace to get clear of the Cape Verde backline, but he's going to need better service - he fruitlessly ends up chasing a ball over the top here that ends up out of play.

The same pattern of the first half is emerging - a big chance spurned by Cape Verde, followed by a long spell of possession from Tunisia with which little is done. It is happening again.

Kuca... Kuca... No! Off the line! A defence-splitting ball finds Cape Verde's player of the match so far out on the left, but he takes his time to cut inside, and when he finally gets his shot away, Ben Youssef has retreated to the goal-line where he hacks it away. So close.

Khazri - who has been a disappointment so far - lets fly from range, slipping as he does, but Vozinha still has to get his body behind it.

A quick breakdown of Cape Verdean possession almost leads Tunisia to get into a two-on-one, but the offside flag spoils their fun.
48'
Cape Verde have another free-kick, but this time much deeper and the delivery is far too long and high for any blue shirts to get anywhere near it.
