Ghana are through, and with a draw will top the group; Egypt are not through, but with a draw will come second in the group. Neither side look good enough to force the issue, so expect, er, one for the purists.

Well, that was a far better game than I expected. Ghana played some nice stuff but lacked a final ball, while Egypt defended well and looked dangerous on the break. I doubt either side will win the competition, but they won't be easy to beat either.

Full-time: Egypt 1-0 Ghana. Egypt win Group D and face Morocco; Ghana finish second and face DR Congo.

Hamed curves a cross into the box and Salah is up first thumping a header straight at El Hadary - but he was offside anyway.

Lovely from Jordan Ayew, taking the ball across the face of goal from right to left, leaving Hegazy trailing behind before chopping back inside onto his right foot and lashing a shot that's straight at El Hadary and at a nice height too.

Not much is happening.

Ghana are doing their best to conjure an equaliser, while Egypt have given up trying to extend their lead.

Tekpetey picks up a loose ball 30 yards from goal, left of centre, and swipes a shot the flies wide and plenty.

Hamed is off having a cut treated - literally by the magic sponge.

Atsu runs at Soliman stepping over inside then nipping outside; he's duly clattered, but again the ref keeps his card in his pockets. And the free-kick is a good one too, curled into the zone which prevents the keeper coming for it until someone either has or hasn't touched it. It gets a flick-on, but no one is around to finish it off.

Boye jumps over Warda - it's no big deal - but for some curious reason the ref books him, amid much consternation.

Tekpetey lasers a low pass crossfield, but there's no one anywhere near it - until Atsu sets off after, Blimey O'Reilly, he's got some pace, but he stll can't catch it.

Yiadom ploughs through Hamed, who does well to get out of the way. For some reason, he isn't booked.

Warda eases himself into the game, knocking the ball sideways, and then about fifteen minutes later, Tekpetey runs straight through him, marking his debut with a booking.

Incidentally, that Mali free-kick is well worth a look-in, likewise Uganda's opener.

Atsu has had a good second half, and he shows Trezeguet a clean pair of heels, so Trezeguet clips them. For this, he is booked, but Mensah is penalised for pushing as the free-kick is humped into the box.

Well, it's all going on ... in the other game. Bissouma has equalised for Mali, direct from a free-kick.
