Chelsea striker Sam Kerr has injured her ACL on the Blues' warm weather training camp in Morocco, and the Australian international will be ruled out for a lengthy spell. Kerr, who has scored four goals in eight WSL games, will be a sore loss for Emma Hayes, whose Chelsea side sit three points clear at the top of the table. They play West Ham in the FA Cup next week.

Chelsea star striker Sam Kerr suffered an ACL injury during Chelsea’s warm weather training camp in Morocco.
The Blues confirmed the news of the Australian’s injury in a statement on the club’s website and social media channels on Sunday.
The club also said that Kerr, who has scored four goals in eight Women’s Super League (WSL) games this season, will be assessed by a specialist before embarking on a rehabilitation programme.
Chelsea sit top of the WSL table after ten matches, three points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
In their last domestic outing before Christmas, Emma Hayes’ side beat Bristol City 3-0 at Ashton Gate, with Kerr netting the third goal.
The striker was also on target in the Blues’ final game before the turn of the year, opening the scoring in their UEFA Women’s Champions League game away at Hacken.
Kerr's absence is expected to be long-term, and the games she will be guaranteed to miss in the next two weeks are Chelsea's FA Cup tie with West Ham United on January 14, before they host Manchester United on January 21.
It is also likely that the 30-year-old has played her final game under Hayes, who will leave the WSL champions at the end of the season to coach the United States.

Chelsea statement in full

"Sam will be assessed by a specialist in the coming days and then begin her rehabilitation with the club’s medical team.
"The Australia international signed for the Blues in 2019 and has gone on to score 99 goals in 128 matches.
"She has played a pivotal role in four Women’s Super League title wins, three FA Cup triumphs, two Women’s League cup victories, and the Women’s Community Shield in 2020.
"Everyone at Chelsea would like to wish Sam the very best for her recovery."
