The Gunners got the job done against Everton at Meadow Park, but were left to rue several missed chances in a scoreline which did not reflect the dominance of Jonas Eidevall's side. Goals from Caitlin Foord and Beth Mead ultimately proved to be decisive, with Katja Snoeijs on target for Brian Sorensen's side. Attention now turns to four Women's Super League fixtures on Sunday.

Arsenal continued their Women’s Super League title push after edging to a 2-1 win over Everton at Meadow Park.
Goals from Caitlin Foord and Beth Mead either side of a Katja Snoeijs equaliser sealed all three points, leaving only goal difference separating The Gunners from league leaders Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
Foord broke the deadlock in the ninth minute when she tapped the ball home from close range after meeting Victoria Pelova’s cross.
Jonas Eidevall's side dominated the opening exchanges, with the movement of Mead, Foord, Alessia Russo and Vivianne Miedema causing the Toffees defence plenty of problems.
But despite their superiority, the Merseysiders struck next thanks to Snoeijs, as Karoline Olesen capitalised on a lapse in concentration from the Arsenal defence to feed in her unmarked team-mate to slot the ball home.
However, The Gunners were back in front in first-half stoppage time when England forward Mead latched onto Lia Walti's delivery at the far post.
Eidevall's side failed to increase their advantage after the break, despite being in cruise control at Meadow Park.
Emily Fox was making her WSL debut for Arsenal, and almost marked it with an assist for Alessia Russo, but the latter was inches away from making a connection with the cross.
While there will undoubtedly be frustration that the scoreline was not more emphatic, it continues a fine start to the year for the North Londoners following a 5-1 win over Watford in the Women’s FA Cup last week.
It also got them back track in the league after a surprise 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on December 16 - their first WSL loss in a North London derby.
Meanwhile, this result for Everton leaves Brian Sorensen’s side sitting eighth in the WSL table with 11 points from 11 games.
There are four WSL fixtures taking place on Sunday, with Chelsea hosting Manchester United in the 12.30pm kick-off, while Manchester City play Liverpool at 2:30pm.
