The Women’s Super League title race is shaping up into a three-way battle between champions Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal. Emma Hayes' Chelsea ran out comfortable winners over Brighton on Saturday. It was down to City and Arsenal to respond and they did what was required on away turf. Arsenal won on the road at Liverpool, and City did the same at Tottenham.

Manchester City and Arsenal kept pace with Women’s Super League leaders Chelsea with wins over Tottenham and Liverpool respectively.
Emma Hayes’ Chelsea kept up their stunning form with a comfortable win over Brighton on Saturday, throwing the gauntlet down to their closest pursuers.
City and Arsenal did not fluff their lines, as they both claimed 2-0 wins on the road to keep the gap to The Blues to three points.

Shaw on target as City beat Spurs

Khadija Shaw has been in sparkling form in recent weeks, and she netted her 14th goal of the campaign in 2-0 win at Tottenham.
City were given a helping hand when Amy Turner deflected a cross into her own net on 18 minutes.
Tottenham pressed City back for much of the first half without finding a route to goal.
Shaw showed how to find the net on 51 minutes, as she was on the end of a rapid break and lashed home with her left foot to secure the points for City.

Gunners’ second-half push sinks Liverpool

Jonas Eidevall's Arsenal did what was required with a 2-0 win over Liverpool at Prenton Park.
The Gunners dominated the contest, but had to wait until the hour mark to edge in front.
Vivianne Miedema demonstrated what Arsenal were missing for 10 months with her knee injury as the Dutch forward opened the scoring on the hour.
Miedema collected the ball 30 yards from goal and had only one thought in her mind, as she strode forward before unleashing a swerving effort from 20 yards into the roof of the net.
Caitlin Foord made the game safe on 69 minutes when gratefully accepting a cross from Alessia Russo and slotting home as Arsenal joined City on 28 points from 12 games.

Leicester edge out Everton to ease relegation fears

Everton and Leicester joined battle on Sunday with only a point between the pair.
Leicester were able to climb above their opponents in the table thanks to Janice Cayman’s strike on 53 minutes.
It was a goal worthy of winning a game, as Cayman took a touch with her right foot before spinning on the spot and curling home from 20 yards with her left foot.
The win lifted Leicester to seventh in the table with 13 points, while Everton are ninth with 11 points.

Parris at the double in United win

Nikita Parris grabbed both goals as Manchester United secured a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
Parris glanced home a header on seven minutes to put United in front, and was on hand to fire home a rebound just after the half-hour mark after a shot cannoned back at her from the crossbar.
Rachel Daly cut the gap from the penalty spot on the hour, but United held on to cement their place in fourth in the table - albeit 10 points adrift of Chelsea.

Hammers edge out Robins

The battle of the basement dwellers went the way of West Ham, who claimed a 2-1 win at Bristol City.
Honoka Hayashi and Viviane Asseyi scored either side of a strike from Amalie Thestrup to hand West Ham a vital win.
West Ham climbed to eight points, while The Robins remained at the foot of the table with five points to their name.
