The League Two automatic-promotion hopefuls have issued a reminder to their fans that such devices are banned from stadia in the wake of the FA being notified of incidents which occurred at Northampton on Saturday.
A blue smoke bomb was let off during the 2-2 draw at Sixfields and it is not the first time Rovers have been reported for this.
The club's safety officer Dave Harper issued a statement saying: ``There appears to be an increasing problem with smoke bombs being released on the terraces at home and away fixtures and the club has again been reported to the Football Association (FA) following incidents at Northampton.
``Supporters are reminded that these devices are not allowed inside the stadium under any circumstances and, apart from the danger posed to persons nearby, they are also a hazard to anyone who suffers with breathing difficulties.
"It is a stupid and dangerous practice to use these devices and you can rest assured that anyone found attempting to bring them into the ground, or caught on CCTV using them, will be subject to a long ban from the Memorial Stadium.``
