Fortuna are working really hard but this is a complete mismatch. They've barely crossed the halfway line.

GOAL! Bayern 1-0 Fortuna Dusseldorf (Zanka own goal) It was a matter of time before Bayern took the lead. Thomas Muller clipped a fine crossfield ball to Gnabry on the right of the area. He volleyed it back towards Pavard, whose mishit shot was going wide until it hit Zanka and dribbled miserably into the net.

A better long-range shot, this time from Muller, is blocked on the edge of the area. Fortuna have defended well so far.

Pavard's optimistic long-range shot dribbles well wide.

Not much to report, just lots of Bayern pressure and some determined Fortuna defending.

It's all Bayern. Every time Fortuna get the ball they are swamped by red shirts.

Chance for Bayern Kimmich flips a short pass over the defence to Lewandowski, whose slightly heavy touch with his chest allows Kastenmeier to come out and save. Lewandowski had been flagged offside, though replays showed he was on.

It's been a confident start from Bayern, as you'd expect, with lots of crisp passing and sharp movement.

Karaman goes on a good run down the inside-right channel before turning back and finding Morales on the edge of the area. His mishit shot loops gently into the arms of Neuer.

Davies's low cross flashes across the face of goal, just in front of the stretching Lewandowski. It wouldn't have counted anyway as Davies was offside.

Peep peep! Bayern, in red, kick off from right to left. Fortuna are in black.

The players emerge on a cool Munich evening. It's almost time for more association football!

We might as well enjoy this peculiar statistic while we can: Robert Lewandowski has never scored against Fortuna Dusseldorf.

These are the Bundesliga results so far this weekend, with yet more away wins:
  • Freiburg 0-1 Leverkusen (Friday)
  • Mainz 0-1 Hoffenheim
  • Schalke 0-1 Bremen
  • Hertha Berlin 2-0 Augsburg
  • Wolfsburg 1-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Werder Bremen closed the gap on Fortuna to two points with victory away to poor old Schalke this afternoon.

Bayern are in spectacular form: they've won 13 of their last 14 Bundesliga games, scoring 46 goals in that time. It will be a big surprise if Fortuna get anything today.
16:50
Fortuna make five changes from the team that beat hapless Schalke in the week. They are in decent form, unbeaten in six either side of spring break, although they have had a relatively easy run of fixtures. Not any more: in the next four games they will face Bayern, Dortmund and Leipzig.

No messing around from Bayern, who have picked a very strong side. There’s only one change from the team that won Der Klassiker on Tuesday: Jerome Boateng is replaced at centre-back by Lucas Hernandez.
