Dortmund are not in the best form and sit below the visitors in the table - can they get back on track, or might Freiburg end an abysmal run against the Dortmund and heap more pressure on Lucien Favre? Some interesting team news is on the way...

Dortmund put together a nice move - the best of the game - and Bellingham's pass almost sets Witsel up, but the Belgian can't quite get the ball out from under his feet and is tackled before he can shoot.

Hitz comes off his line promptly to intercept a long ball looking for Sallai.

Reyna back on, he looks fine.

Reyna is down after a challenge from Sallai and will require some treatment. He's holding his back.

Gulde wins the ball back high up the pitch, with Freiburg suddenly looking like they have a numbers advantage, but Gulde then plays a poor pass and gives possession away.

The advanced Meunier puts in a cross, but the ball sails straight into Muller's arms.

Reyna lets the ball run out of play in his own half after a turn doesn't come off. He has already made a couple of driving runs, however.

Bellingham almost caught in possession, but instead wins a free-kick.

Gunter wastes an early Freiburg corner, with his poor delivery flicked out of play well before the near post.

Akanji gives the ball away in a dangerous area, but luckily for him Holer is isolated.

Dortmund have kept a clean sheet in five of their last seven matches against Freiburg.

Frieburg won their lone away game in the Bundesliga so far this season, but that represents one of only two wins in their last 15 road matches in the league.

There will be 11,500 fans in attendance this afternoon. Not quite the 'Yellow Wall' Dortmund are so famous for, but better than nothing.

Dortmund's star 20-year-old who is playing, Haaland, has three goals in three games so far this season.

As for Sancho, this is what Dortmund had to say yesterday. Officially he misses out through injury, but there has been a suggestion from some that he is still holing out hope for a move to Old Trafford and that is the real reason for his absence.

Emre Can and Manuel Akanji are the only outfield players in the Dortmund side who played the full 90 minutes against Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup on Wednesday. The midfield dup of Axel Witsel and Bellingham both began that game on the bench, with only the Englishhman coming on, so should provide fresh legs, but managing his players will be on Favre's mind and could prove tricky if the game is tight come the second half.

Dortmund are unbeaten in the last 18 meetings between these two, winning 15 of those games.
