Frankfurt are 2-0 up and it is Borre again!
Dortmund caught sleeping defensively as Meunier gives the ball away which instigates a counter. The ball eventually finds Kostic, who drills one across the box for Borre, but his effort is blocked.

Jude Bellingham is dispossessed at the edge of the Frankfurt box and the home side counter with Jesper Lindstrom on the right.
The Dane drives to the touchline and tries to put in a low cross to the path of Borre, but the pass is not great and Kobel gathers the ball.

OFFSIDE!
Reus feeds in Guerreiro well from just outside the area on the left, and the Portuguese man goes down in the box - it looked like a dive.
The referee blows for offside on Marco Reus - the Dortmund captain was just a fraction beyond the last defender during that move.
Guerreiro is lucky to escape a booking there.

POST!
Almost the perfect start from Dortmund!
Mats Hummels clips a long ball forward for an on-rushing Thomas Meunier on the right, and he hits one true aiming for the top-left corner, and Trapp just about gets his fingertips on it to deflect the shot onto the upright!

AWAY WORRIES FOR BVB
In addition to their recent inconsistencies, Dortmund have also been indifferent away from home this season in the Bundesliga, taking just ten points from their eight away league games so far.
Today is the chance to begin to turn their fortunes around on their travels.

INCONSISTENCY FOR DORTMUND
Borussia Dortmund struggled for consistency prior to the winter break, and BVB now sit nine points behind leaders Bayern Munich, with a game in hand.
Marco Rose will want his side to start the new year well, as Dortmund ended 2020 with just one win in four, including a 3-2 defeat to Hertha Berlin last time out.
