A PATIENT START
Bayern have not come into this all gun's blazing, but have taken a steady approach to the game as they look to build their first real attack. They've had pretty much all of the ball in the first few minutes.

A LANDMARK NIGHT FOR BAYERN
It is the club's 2000th Bundesliga match (W1206 D430 L363N), making Bayern the first club in Bundesliga history to reach this mark.
FCB's 1000th Bundesliga match had ended in a defeat - in October 1994 under Giovanni Trapattoni - 0-1 at Dortmund.

ALL EYES ON THE LEADERS
It feels like Bayern are still waiting for Leverkusen to slip up, but it is dawning on them that that day may never come.
Even after they lost to Leverkusen - which they thoroughly deserved to do so - the least they can do is win all their games and keep the pressure on Xavi Alonso's side, but they've been unable do to it.
Leverkusen play away at Koln on Sunday, but anything except a win for Bayern today and they might as well kiss goodbye to a 12th title in a row. There is so much at stake here.

CAN BAYERN MAKE IT SIX FOR SIX?
They have won their last five Bundesliga matches against SC Freiburg - among the current Bundesliga teams, FCB only have a longer active winning streak (8) against SV Darmstadt.
Freiburg have won only one of their last 41 BL clashes with Bayern (D8 L32): 2-1 at home in May 2015.

WORK TO DO IN EUROPE
Not only do they have a mountain to climb in the Bundesliga, but Bayern must also overturn a 1-0 deficit against Lazio if they are to remain in the hunt for the Champions League.

ON THE UP?
Bayern's 2-1 win over RB Leipzig last time out signalled the end of a barren three-match losing streak. After their deflating 3-0 defeat at leaders Leverkusen - which could prove decisive in the title race - Bayern lost to Lazio in the UEFA Champions League before losing 3-2 to VfL Bochum.
Tuchel's side are now eight points behind Leverkusen and a 12th successive league title is out of their hands, but if there is one club that know how to turn it on towards the end of the season for a late title push, it's this lot.
