Germany international midfielder Torsten Frings will join Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund. Bayern spokesman Markus Hoerwick was quoted by Germany's SID news agency on Wednesday confirming a report in Bild newspaper that they had agreed a deal with Do
Frings scored for Germany in their 1-1 draw against the Netherlands at Euro 2004 on Tuesday.
No details about the transfer fee were published but Bild said the figure was 10 million euros ($12.14 million) and Frings would sign a three-year contract.
The newspaper said Dortmund was selling Frings because of financial problems linked to early exits from the Champions League and UEFA Cup last season.
Dortmund finished sixth in the Bundesliga missing out on a place in next season's UEFA Cup competition.
Frings, 27, is Bayern's third major signing for next season, after Brazilian defender Lucio joined from Bayer Leverkusen and striker Vahid Hashemian arrived from VfL Bochum.
Bayern, who finished second in the league behind Werder Bremen, are also due to sign Andreas Goerlitz from TSV 1860 subject to a medical next week.
