Barcelona welcome Shakhtar Donetsk to the Nou Camp for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

Barca head into this one as favourites, understandably so, but Shakhtar are more than capable of an upset with their Brazilian contingent - there's six of them tonight.

Of course, there's another game on the agenda tonight, with Chelsea taking on Manchester United in a repeat of the 2008 final.

For Shakhtar, former Barcelona defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy misses out with an ankle injury so Mykola Ishchenko plays. Fernandinho returns to the bench after a seven month absence while Brazilian trio Jadson, Douglas Costa and Luiz Adriano all start.

So, the big news is that despite doubts over his fitness, Lionel Messi starts for Barca. But there is no Carles Puyol at the back for the Spanish giants, so Sergio Busquets plays at centre-half alongside Gerard Pique.

And tonight's referee is Craig Thomson (Scotland).

Shakhtar have a decent pedigree against Barca, running them close in the European Super Cup in 2009 and stealing a 3-2 win at the Nou Camp the last time they met in the Champions League group stages late in 2008.

Barca head into the game off the back of a hard-fought away win at Villarreal as they went eight points clear of Real Madrid in La Liga.

Shakhtar meanwhile comprehensively outclassed Roma to reach the final eight.

La Liga leaders Barca booked their place in the last eight with a 4-3 aggregate victory over Arsenal.
