Great counter attack by Spurs after Marin gave the ball away. Defoe carried the ball forward and waited for Gareth Bale to arrive on his left. Defoe found Bale, but Bale's first time shot goes inches wide of the far post. Very close.

Defoe gets into the box and tries to duck and twist and weave his way past Bargfrede, who stands up well to him.

Wave after wave of Spurs attack but Bremen are somehow keeping this respectable. Not quite working for Spurs at the moment, who deserve at least 3.

Another strong run from Hutton who is looking for Defoe. The ball eventually runs to Lennon who shoots from the edge of the box but it strikes Defoe. Who found it all very funny.

Marin attacking Spurs again but Gallas does a superb job of putting himself between Marin and the ball, as it trickles into Gomes's hands.
