BERBATOV! He does tremendously to control the long ball, then getting past Navarro and firing a shot from an angle which Sanchez has to tip out for a corner. Had to make it happen by himself - it's been a lonely evening for the Bulgarian.

Soldado is brought down by Ferdinand and the Valencia man is fuming with that one - the referee does not see fit to award a card, however.

Good counter from Anderson releases Carrick, who repays the favour and it takes a great lunging tackle from Mathieu to stop the move.

A first corner from United - Nani lays it off to Anderson and a cross comes in which looks like it was played specifically for Cesar Sanchez to catch.

United do, remember, have Owen and Hernandez on the bench if they want extra attacking options.

Poor delivery from Nani on the right - his cross was set to land in the D of the penalty area, giving Berbatov too much to do.

Soldado takes a quick throw for Mata, who tries to pick out Dominguez in the box.

Evra knocks the ball just a little too far beyond him as he charges down the left, and Miguel can clear up.

PABLO GOES CLOSE! Good effort - he cuts in from the right to beat Evra, then fires one on his left just past the far post, but Van der Sar didn't know too much about that fizzing effort!

It's not been a bore, but it has been a cagey affair.
