Bayern warmed up for tonight's contest with a 5-0 away-day thumping of Fortuna Dusseldorf while Lille secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Bordeaux. However, Bayern were shocked 3-1 in their last CL outing v BATE. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "After our defeat against Borisov in Minsk, we are feeling a lot of pressure now. Expectations are high for the team to hopefully pull off a win.”

Lille currently lie bottom of Group F with no points from two outings. The 2011 Ligue 1 champions have won just three times in all competitions so far this term.

Lille boss Rudi Garcia has described tonight's clash with Bayern as 'David versus Goliath'. He said: "We are playing one of the biggest sides in Europe so we will have to give it 120% and Bayern will have to have an off day if we want to get a positive result. It is David against Goliath. The most important thing for us is to believe we can do it."

Lille will operate a 4-5-1 system with the intention of pushing into a 4-3-3 when they are on the attack. Djibril Sidibe steps into central defence in place of the injured Marko Basa. Tulio De Melo will be supported by Nolan Roux and Soloman Kalou in attack, with Dimitri Payet on the bench. Mario Mandzukic will lead the line for Bayern in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Fit-again left-back David Alaba starts on the bench, allowing Dante to face his old club.
