Good evening and welcome to LIVE coverage of Málaga CF against Zenit St. Petersburg at the Estadio La Rosaleda in Group C of the Champions League.

The final whistle goes and the Malaga fans salute their victorious team. Meanwhile it will be a very long journey home for Zenit who did not turn up when it counted.

The unlucky Joaquin is subbed off and Duda comes on in his place for the final minutes.

Joaquin goes through and ought to score a fourth but just fails to get the ball past Malafeev, who gathers the ball into his arms at a second attempt. Joaquin deserved a goal but it was not to be.

Two minutes later Isco is in search of a hat-trick but gets caught offside...

GOAL! Isco and Joaquin combine brilliantly and the former smashes a drive into the top corner of the Zenit goal to mark his second of the game.

Luka Djordjevic comes on for Konstantin Zyryanov for Zenit.

The brilliant Isco torments the defence again with some neat skill on the wing, but Zenit clear the danger, only for Nacho Monreal to waste a chance for Malaga seconds later.

The pace of the game has logically dropped significantly now and Malaga are slowing it down, Joaquín and Eliseu taking turns to foul Denisov.

A good chance for the home side as Isco slips into the box, but a low driven cross is knocked away by Nicolas Lombaerts.

Saviola was brilliant in the first half but he goes off after an hour to give Roque Santa Cruz a chance to enter the action.

Zenit are again holding onto the ball well for periods but Malaga are happy to let them have it and try to make it three on the break.

Hulk is the man making the front running for the visitors but he is lucky to escape a booking as he kicks out at Demichelis. The defender does not like it but eventually they shake hands.

As the second half gets underway Zenit have a great chance to strike back, but Aleksandr Kerzhakov hits the side netting.

Clattenburg puts Zenit out of their misery, if only temporarily, as he blows the whistle for half time. That was a terrific half from the Spanish side.

Zenit have a couple of corners in succession as they seek a vital goal before half time but the home side manage to clear the danger.
