Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Champions League game between Arsenal and Montpellier at Stade la Mosson. It's the first matchday in this season's competition and it's good to have the Champions League back.

FULL TIME. Arsenal turned things around in the first half but they were completely outplayed by Montpellier in the second half and can count themselves lucky to come away with three points.

A tense minute or so awaits now, can Arsenal hold out?

Cabella goes around Coquelin and then throws himself to ground under contact from Diaby in the box. He was looking for it though and the ref is right to play on.

Here is Coquelin, and Theo Walcott, as they replace Cazorla and Podolski.

Yanga-Mbiwa floats the ball into the box but Mannone copes well with the high ball and clutches it to his chest.

Montpellier will kick themselves if they get nothing out of this game. They have had chance after chance in the second half.

Another huge miss! Montpellier can't believe it! The ball rolls to Belhanda in the box and after turning to lose Mertesacker, who goes to ground, he has the goal at his mercy. Weighing up his options, the playmaker gets his shot all wrong and thumps the ball into the chest of Mannone!

The change has seen Ramsey go wide on the right, Gervinho switch to the left and Podolski play through the centre.

Here comes a double change for Montpellier as Emanuel Herrera replaces Estrada and Benjamin Stambouli comes on for Souleymane Camara.

Giroud didn't have much to play with tonight. Just one proper chance. If he'd have been playing for Montpellier he'd probably have scored two.

Giroud is the man who is replaced. He gets a fine reception from the home crowd as Ramsey takes his place.

Just as I say that, Aaron Ramsey is stripping off. Arsenal want more control in midfield.

Arsenal are struggling to mount anything approaching a decent attack here and I think it's time Steve Bould freshened things up a bit.

Ait Fana is in the thick of things again but from 20 yards he slips as he shoots and the ball dribbles through to Mannone in the Arsenal goal.
