Bayer Leverkusen are winless in their five games against Manchester United in the Champions League (D2, L3), failing to keep a single clean sheet in the process. Leverkusen have lost eight of their last nine Champions League games against English sides (W1).

Manchester United are winless in their last four Champions League away games (D3, L1), their worst run since February 2004 - December 2005 (8 games, D3, L5). They have conceded only eight goals in their last 15 Champions League away games, however.

David Moyes: "The next game is always the most important. My initial feeling when I saw the group was that Shakhtar would be the toughest game but this is our last away game and, as it stands, Leverkusen have great home form and are in good shape. It's going to be tough but we have to take points out of this game."

Sami Hyypia: "It is an important match for both sides, but we're the home team. We have played a lot of good matches here so far, and this is what I expect tomorrow. It won't be easy for United to win here."
