Guardiola’s side just can’t live with this early Porto pace and seem to have taken them too lightly. Two amazing defensive lapses and now they really have their work cut out.

GOAL PORTO! Amazing scenes here as Dante dallies on the ball and Quaresma nips it off him, closes on goal and slots a second past Neuer! What a start from the hosts.

CHANCE BAYERN! And Lewandowski surely should equalise from Muller’s knock down but puts his header over.

Bayern back into that passing rhythm and Quaresma fouls Lewandowski.

Unsurprisingly, lots of you think Neuer is lucky to be on the pitch. Keep those tweets and comments coming in.

Well, well! Who would have predicted that? And now it’s a real game on. Bayern are great at attacking away from home and they’ll have to be now.

GOAL! Porto take the lead inside the opening four minutes as Quaresma sends Neuer, lucky to be on the field, the wrong way. WHAT A START!

PENALTY PORTO! Martinez steals it past Alonso and Neuer brings him down. Yellow card but could have been worse!

Both teams setting up with a 4-3-3 formation as Porto get us underway and win the first free-kick of the evening. Big surprise that Jackson Martinez starts tonight.

KICK-OFF! Referee Carlos Velasco Carballo blows the whistle to get us underway here at Estadio do Dragao. Porto with an impressive home record and Bayern great on the road. Something has to give in what could be a classic! Bayern in their change kit of all black.

TEN MINUTES TO KICK-OFF: Porto are unbeaten in nine consecutive European home games, winning six of the last seven matches played on their soil. However, Bayern have lost only two of their last 15 games in European competitions on the road (W10, D3), and failed to find the net only twice in the last 18 away matches.

Thomas Mueller: "For the (recent) games against Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen we had two matches where we played with a decimated squad and with few options. In those games we came closer together as a group, as a unit, and that will obviously help us against Porto. Now it is not about the injuries but about building a strong unit on the pitch with the players who are there. We are confident and hopefully we can score a few goals."

Porto will play the European Cup/Champions League quarterfinal for the seventh time in their history: the Portuguese have made it through the semis only twice so far (1986/87 against Brøndby and 2003/04 against Lyon), going on to win the trophy both year though.
