GREAT SAVE! Buffon does well to keep out Alves' 10-yard drive after Suarez had drifted to the right byline and cut it back into the Brazilian's path.

CLOSE! Messi given too much freedom once more as he curls a lovely left-foot cross to the far post where Neymar is inches away from converting.

This has been a refreshingly open and entertaining start for a final of this magnitude.

Barca almost double their lead but Neymar flashes a shot wide of the near-post upright.

Barca look like scoring whenever they reach the final third... STAT: Ivan Rakitic's goal was the third-fastest in a #UCLfinal, the quickest for Barcelona.

A lovely response from Juventus as Morata breaks free on the left. The Spaniard tees up Vidal 25 yards out but the Chilean fires over the top.

STAT via Squawka: No player has recorded more assists in the Champions League this season than Andrés Iniesta (5).

What a sublime move that was. Not a great start for Juve after all. They had been bright but have been sucker-punched in dramatic and magnificent style.

GOAL!!!! Barca lead following their first attack. It's a quite wonderful move. Messi sweeps it out to the left flank for Alba who guides it into Neymar. The Brazilian waits for Iniesta to arrive in the area and he flicks to Rakitic who makes no mistake with a low shot into the right-hand corner.

It's not exactly solid from Barca but they get it clear after Vidal didn't make full contact from Pirlo's delivery.

Early mistakes from Barca as Tevez fires over the bar... And seconds later Mascherano concedes a needless corner.

Plenty of nerves before the final, but Stephan Lichtsteiner was ice cool...

Juventus are hoping they can become the second Italian team to complete the domestic and European treble tonight - and will dedicate any triumph to the 39 victims that lost their lives 30 years on from the Heysel Stadium tragedy.

Barca boss Luis Enrique told the world press that his side must remain focus to seal a sensational season. He said: "The fans are euphoric and we are delighted with that. But as professionals we will approach the game with the utmost seriousness. We will need to have a good day to get past a rival of this magnitude. I want to have the ball more than them, occupy their half and play at a top level but we are sure to have some difficulties. I don't think it will be a clash of styles as they will want to have the ball too. They have resources and that's why they are also in with a chance of a treble."

Max Allegri: "Everyone will give their all. It’s a one-off game, so we’ll have no chance to get revenge. We’ll have to be in the best physical condition, which we are, and the best mental condition, which we are. We’re playing against a team which has great individuals, and also a great collective. But, like every team, they have weaknesses. Is Messi unstoppable? I hope he’s stoppable. We started with a big goal, to make the last eight. We did better than that, we’re in the last two. Now we want to be first. I think we’ll be very focused on the game, because it will be a great game. As with every final, a bit of luck will be needed, but we’ll have to be very good to make sure the luck is on our side.”

Lionel Messi, who shares the all-time record with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo of 77 Champions League goals, would become the first player to score in three Champions League finals if he finds the net here. He also scored in the 2009 and 2011 finals.

Barca's front trio are known as 'The Trident' in Spain. Can Juventus stop a trio who have scored 120 goals this season?
