Messi is now equal with Cristiano Ronaldo on 68 Champions League goals, three behind the record holder Raul.

Cavani has a chance to make it 2-1, but blazes over the Barca bar. This is some game so far at the Parc des Princes!

GOAL: Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Barcelona. What a response, as Messi nets for his 68th goal in the Champions League. What a passing move, a one-two with Iniesta and a first-time shot past Sirigu.

That is the first goal that Barca have conceded all season.

GOAL: Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 Barcelona. Luiz gets on the end of Lucas' free-kick from the left, turns Mascherano in the box and strikes a low shot past ter Stegen.

Lucas is stopped by Alba down the right, but Matuidi wins the ball back. Alves makes the clearance, but then loses it and concedes a free-kick and gets a yellow card for handball as he tries to win the ball back.

Rakitic makes another cynical challenge high up the field on Pastore, and Rizzoli has a word and perhaps a final warning.

Lucas' free kick is headed clear and Barca break, but Pedro's slide rule pass cannot find Messi.

Rakitic brings down Maxwell down the left and referee Nicola Rizzoli blows for a free kick. David Luiz is up in the area.

Motta nicks the ball off Busquets, but when set up by Lucas' pass, the PSG skipper shoots well over ter Stegen's goal.

Barca are starting with a high pressing game, and Lucas is soon dispossessed on the right.

Some kick ball at the back for Barca, until Rakitic is fouled on the halfway line.

Kick off in Paris, and it is Neymar and Messi to start proceedings as Barca start from left to right.

PSG are in their usual blue kit, while Barca are in their jaw-droppingly bright yellow third kit.

Andres Iniesta makes his 100th Champions League appearance for Barcelona in Paris, but Xavi is on the bench so must wait for a record 143rd appearance in the competition.

PSG are unbeaten this season but they have drawn six of their nine games in all competitions, including the Ligue Un 1-1 draw away to Toulouse at the weekend.

Barcelona have dropped just one point in their six La Liga games, scoring 17 goals and conceding none. Neymar scored a hat-trick and Messi two in the 6-0 win over Granada on Saturday.

Barca's Vine of the line-up is pretty cool, though you would not want a queasy stomach to watch it.

PSG have not tweeted their subs, but Yohan Cabaye is on the bench for the French champions.. The full bench is: Douchez, Camara, Aurier, Digne, Cabaye, Chantôme, Bahebeck.

Gerard Pique is on the bench for Barcelona, despite a fine performance and the goal against APOEL on matchday one.

PSG have quite a home record in European competition. The French champions are unbeaten in 29 European home games (19 wins, 10 draws) with their last defeat at 4-2 loss to Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC in the UEFA Cup group stage in November 2006.
