And we're underway!
Bayern win a corner within the first minute but it's comfortable for Navas.
Not bad...
Bayern Munich haven't lost a home game in all competitions since March of 2016, that's impressive.
Real Madrid have lost twice away in 2017 alone.
You get the feeling these two are going to need to have big games if Real are to get a positive result in Germany.

As for Zidane he's been talking about the criticism that has been thrown in the direction of his front three.
“They’re very experienced players and the better player you are, the more criticism you attract. I’ve got three players with a lot of character and they’re not fazed by this, quite the opposite. These are the sort of games they relish. I consider Bale to be close to being on top form. His lay-off was very lengthy and he’s getting stronger by the day. I hope that he produces his best tomorrow. Tomorrow’s game is an important one for him.”

Here's some words from Ancelotti ahead of the match.
“They are having a very good season, we’re focussing on our qualities. I’m not talking about how Real Madrid will set up tactically, I need to think about my own team. It’s a meeting of two top sides who both want to play football.”

MASTER V APPRENTICE
Of course this match will see current Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane come up against his former boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Not only did the Italian manage Zidane at Juventus he was the man in charge when Zidane was assistant at Real, together they won the Champions League.

YELLOW CARD WATCH
For Bayern Munich the only concern is Jerome Boateng who is one yellow away from picking up a suspension.
Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos are the two Real Madrid players who have to be careful.
SECURITY CONCERNS
Of course this tie comes just a day after the explosions in Dortmund that led to the postponement of the game between Dortmund and Monaco.
Ahead of this game the sheets that were planned to be used as part of a choreography have had to be removed.
