What a massive result that is for Celtic! They needed a win tonight to boost their chances of finishing third in the group and thy delivered, and then some. That was a statement win for the Scottish champions. Anderlecht had lots of possession, but they were toothless. Celtic were ruthless.

- End of 2nd Half
FULL TIME: Anderlecht 0-3 Celtic
- GoalScott SinclairCeltic
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Anderlecht 0 Celtic 3 (92 mins - Scott Sinclair). There's the goal that puts the icing on a very tasty cake for Celtic. Ntcham wins the ball in the centre of the pitch, sets up Sinclair for a simple finish high into the Anderlecht net.
ANOTHER CELTIC INJURY? This is another worry for Celtic. Simunovic has hit the ground inside the penalty area. It looks like it might just be cramp, though. Rodgers better hope it is!
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match.
McGregor has done well since coming on for Celtic. He has been effective at running the ball up the pitch, relievin some of the pressure on the Hoops' defensive line.
It's the Celtic fans making the noise in Brussels now. They know their team are just minutes away from a massive win. They haven't won away from home in the Champions League since 2012.
Once again, Teodorcyzk is caught offside. The Polish striker has been really disappointing for Anderlecht. He was billed as the danger man but he has done nothing.
Boyata has been a standout performer for Celtic at the back, but Ntcham has completely turned his evening around after a really difficult opening 30 minutes. He's been instrumental.
The fight from Anderlecht is now starting to ebb away. They look a beaten team. To be honest, they looked beaten as soon as the second Celtic goal went in from Roberts.
Many people think Forrest should have started over Roberts tonight, but the on loan Manchester City winger scored a crucial second goal. Does he do enough defensively, though?
- OffPatrick RobertsCeltic
- OnJames ForrestCeltic
Another change for Celtic, with Roberts coming off to be replaced by Forrest.
Of course, this win, should Celtic hold on to take all three points, will be crucial in their efforts to claim the third place in their group and fall into the Europa League after Christmas.
This is just about seeing this game out for Celtic now. Anderlecht are having the better of the play, searching for a way back into the match, but the Scottish champions are looking solid.
GORDON FORCED INTO A SAVE! Gerkens takes aim from about 20 yards out, with the ball dipping in under the crossbar, but the Celtic goalkeeper watches it all the way to tip over.
MCGREGOR SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER! Griffiths broke free on the counter, playing the ball to McGregor alongside him, but he took too long to get the shot away on goal.
BITTON SHOOTS WIDE! The Israeli almost made an instant impact there, but he skewed his shot from the edge of the penalty area wide. That could have been the game right there.
- OffSofiane HanniAnderlecht
- OnMassimo BrunoAnderlecht
Anderlecht also made a change of their own, with Bruno coming on.
- OffScott BrownCeltic
- OnNir BittonCeltic
There's the change from Celtic, with Bitton coming on for the injured Brown.
BROWN INJURY! That's a blow to Celtic and maybe even more importantly, to Scotland. They have crucial qualifiers next week and Brown has just been taken off with a hamstring injury.
Teodorczyk is offside again. The Polish striker has struggled to hold the line all evening. He was billed as Anderlecht's dangerman, but he hasn't had much to work with in the game.
This Anderlecht team have completely lost their way in this second half. The Belgians are passing the ball around the back and into midfield but they are struggling to move it into the final third.
Ntcham is having a real impact on this game now. The young French midfielder is doing well to break up opposition moves and is recycling possession well. He's come on to a game.
In the other game in the group, Neyma has scored PSG's third of the night against Bayern Munich. That is a statement result from the French champions in this season's Champions League.
- OffTom RogicCeltic
- OnCallum McGregorCeltic
There's the change for Celtic and it's Rogic who is going to come off for the Hoops.
Armstrong is back on the bench for Celtic are going missing at the start of the second half, but it looks like McGregor might actually be Rodgers' first change of the evening.
It looks like Anderlecht are now matching up man for man against Celtic, moving into a 4-2-3-1 shape. Will that suit them better? Will they create more opportunities in this shape?
You just wonder if Celtic might rue that missed opportunity. The Scottish champions have a 2-0 lead, but surely Anderlecht will put up some sort of fight before the end of the match?
JUST WIDE! That should have been the third goal for Celtic. Tierney's cross finds Roberts, who turns inside the area, but he puts his stabbed effort inches past the near post.
- OffOlivier DeschachtAnderlecht
- OnNicolae StanciuAnderlecht
There's a change for the home side. Anderlecht are throwing caution to the wind.
HANNI SHOOTS OVER! The Anderlecht midfielder was presented with the shooting chance on the edge of the box, but he couldn't get his shot on target and the ball flashes over.
The mistakes are now starting to creep into the play of Anderlecht. They're not pressing as high as they were in the first half and in the opening few minutes of the second half.
Anderlecht have completely lost their way since the second goal. They have dominated the possession, but it has counted for very little in the way of goalscoring opportunities.
That's fanastic defensive work from Tierney. Boyata got dragged out of position, but the Celtic left back tracked back to make the challenge, preventing Hanni from going any further.
Just as was the case with the first goal, that strike came against the run of play. Anderlecht had started the second half the better of the two sides when Roberts found the net.
We haven't seen much of Roberts in this game, some were even suggesting that he needed taking off for Forrest, but his goal was given a Celtic a two-goal cushion here.
- GoalPatrick RobertsCeltic
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Anderlecht 0 Celtic 2 (51 mins - Patrick Roberts). There's the second goal for Celtic and that could be gigantic for the Scottish champions! Roberts cuts inside and takes aim from just inside the box, with his shot finding the net via a big deflection.
Anderlecht have emerged for the second half with renewed energy and intensity to their play. They are pressing high on the Scottish champions and forcing them into more mistakes.
Did Brown get away with one ther? Hanni looked to have won the ball in the centre of the pitch, but the referee gave the Celtic captain the freekick. There wasn't much in that.
GORDON FUMBLES A SAVE! That was poor goalkeeping from the Celtic number one. He palmed Hanni's shot straight into the middle of the box, but from an offside position Teodorczyk scuffed his effort wide.
Celtic are somewhat fortunate to be leading after that first half. They had just 29 percent of the possession, but Griffiths took his opportunity when it came to him. Opportunistic.
- 2nd Half

- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Anderlecht 0-1 Celtic. What a strange opening half of football. Anderlecht have been the better side, by and large, but Griffiths took the one chance the visitors created. Clinical.
- OffUroš SpajicAnderlecht
- OnKara MbodjiAnderlecht
Anderlecht make the change eventually, with the injured Spajic coming off.
That's a massive goal for Celtic in the context of this group. How will this impact Anderlecht? Will they change the way they are playing or simply keep doing what they're doing. They were on top.
Celtic have been second best in this first half, but they have the lead heading into the break. Ntcham was instrumental in breaking up the play and finding Tierney down the left wing.
- GoalLeigh GriffithsCeltic
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Anderlecht 0 Celtic 1 (38 mins - Leigh Griffiths). How on earth have they taken the lead? Anderlecht been the better side all night, but Tierney finds Griffiths at the back post with a superb ball and the striker tucks it away. Celtic have the lead!
Griffiths curls a freekick into the Anderlecht penalty area from the left wing, but the Belgian side do a good job of defending it. That's probably Celtic's best chance of the night so far.
Elsewhere in the group, Edinson Cavani has scored a second for PSG against Bayern Munich and there is now some clear daylight between the two sides in that fight for top place.
Well, Spajic is now back on the pitch! Anderlecht have decided not to make the change and the centre back has returned to the play. That's why they were taking so long to make the change.
Ntcham is once again really slack in possession. Celtic had two men free in the centre of the pitch. It was an easy pass to find them, yet he tried a little flick instead and gave it away.
Sinclair takes Celtic into the opposition half, chasing a ball down the left side, but Trebel comes across to cover and make the sliding challenge to prevent him from getting any further.
Anderlecht still haven't made the change here to replace the injured Spajic. They still don't look ready to make the change, with a player on the bench still putting on his shin guards.
So will the loss of Spajic have any sort of impact on Anderlecht? He's an important player for the Belgians. They will miss him, but can Celtic get close enough to goal to expose that?
This looks like Spajic is in some trouble for Anderlecht. The tackle from Sinclair was a sore one and the change is going to be made. That is a blow to the Belgian side. Down to 10 men for the moment.
Sinclair was unlucky there. The Celtic winger pressed high on Spajic in an attempt to win the ball, but he ultimately fouled the Anderlecht defender and the foul is rightly given.
There's just no fluency to the way Celtic are playing at the moment. They look a bit better at the back, but they are still struggling to move the ball through midfield into the attack.
Ntcham was actually signed with the Champions League in mind in the summer. He was Celtic's most expensive signing of the summer and he was supposed to give them a better midfield platform against European sides.
There is a feeling that Celtic are starting to get a better grip of this game, but their passing is still really loose. Ntcham hasn't been able to keep hold of the ball. Very strange.
Of course, Onyekuru was heavily linked with a move to Celtic over the summer. But the Nigerian striker joined Everton in the end and was then loaned out to Anderlecht for the season.
FIRST TOUCH EVADED HIM! That was a chance Onyekuru, with the ball clipped over the top for the Nigerian to chase, but his touch was a little heavy and he runs it out of play.
For the first time in the match, Sinclair gets in behind the Anderlecht defence, but he gets his feet in a mess just as he looks to make the cross into the penalty area.
The visitors have really struggled to get the ball to Griffiths. The Celtic number nine is dropping deep into midfield, but Celtic are struggling to even make the ball stick there!
Rodgers is out on the touchline and the instruction from the Northern Irishman is to keep things simple. Celtic need to get the basics right. They have been poor in the first 20 minutes of this game.
That's another poor pass. Sinclair was looking to reach Tierney with a simple 10 yard ball, but it was cut out. This is not going so well for Celtic. They have been knocked out of their stride.
SLOPPY FROM GORDON! The Celtic goalkeeper plays the ball straight to an Anderlecht player, but he gets away with it. The home side couldn't make the most of the chance.
Griffiths has been favoured by Rodgers to Dembele. The Scotland international has been in great form over the early part of the season, but he has hardly had a touch of the ball so far tonight.
Indeed, this is turning out to be quite a difficult opening to the match for Celtic. Anderlecht have definitely been the better side. They look the more likely to score at present.
For the first time in the match Roberts tries to cut inside and dribble past a couple of Anderlecht players, but they crowd out the on loan Manchester City winger to make the challenge.
Of course, Dendoncker will be one of the danger men for Anderlecht this evening. He has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent times. He's a real talent.
Anderlecht have started this match the better of the two teams. They are knocking the ball around with confidence and seem to have settled into their game quicker than Celtic.
Dendoncker takes aim from about 25 yards out, but the Anderlecht midfielder strikes his freekick well over the bar. Gordon watched that all the way, but he was never going to be troubled.
Elsewhere in the group, Dani Alves has given PSG an early 1-0 lead over Bayern Munich. Those two sides are expecting to compete for top spot in the group, with Anderlecht and Celtic challenging for third place.
Teodorczyk is back on the pitch and seems to be able to continue. The Polish striker was an injury doubt before this match, so there was some genuine concern from Anderlecht over him.
What was that? Ntcham tried to play the ball into the channel down the left side for Griffiths to chase, but there was far too much on the pass. Griffiths didn't even both chasing it.
INJURY TO TEODORCZYK? The Polish striker has hit the ground after a late challenge from Ntcham. This would be a big blow for Anderlecht if their top scorer has to be withdrawn.
Things have been somewhat turbulent for Anderlecht in recent weeks, with Frutos the interim manager of the Belgian side. Their early season form hasn't been the best, that's for sure.
Celtic have a much stronger defence this evening than they did against PSG two weeks ago. Boyata and Simunovic are both back and start at the heart of the defence for the visitors.
- 1st Half
The match is under way in Belgium! It's Anderlecht against Celtic.
Rodgers: "It's down to Anderlecht to attack us. We're a team that enjoys playing away because the space can open ip a little bit more. We're a team that can control the ball and be good in possession but we're also a team that has fast players on the counter attack."
Celtic come into this game having suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to PSG in their first group game, with Anderlecht losing 3-0 away from home to Bayern Munich. Not the best start.
This is a huge game for both of these clubs. With Bayern Munich and PSG expected to finish in the top two positions in the group, Anderlecht and Celtic are fighting it out for third place.
So Rodgers has picked pretty much his strongest side for this critical Champions League clash in Belgium. He's opted for Roberts over Forrest down the right side again.
