    PREVIOUSLY: This is the third time the two teams have been drawn to face other in European competition. Back in 2001 Liverpool won 2-0 on aggregate in the UEFA Cup quarter finals. They went on to lift the trophy as part of their famous cup treble.
    The sides met again in the 2007-08 CL group stage. It finished 1-1 at the Estadio do Dragao and 4-1 to Liverpool at Anfield.
