Hello and welcome to our LIVE text coverage of the first leg of Manchester United's Champions League last-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain from Old Trafford. No Neymar and no Edinson Cavani for the visitors, who visit a United side who can do no wrong at the moment. There's still plenty of attacking firepower in the PSG ranks, but this is an altogether different United side than when the draw was made. Something has to give! I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

We are up and running here on what promise to be a momentous evening....

So here we go. Ten wins in their 11 games since Solskjaer took over has brightened the mood around Old Trafford, with fans arriving tonight filled with anticipation rather than dread. PSG are running away with Ligue 1 again, and were the top group stage goalscorers in this season's Champions League, navigating their way out of a tough group that included Liverpool and Napoli. This is a real test for Solskjaer, but he has risen to every challenge so far. We are minutes away!

Solskjaer told reporters at his pre-match press conference that United fear nobody - a far cry from the latter stages of Mourinho's tenure: We've given ourselves the best possible opportunity because of the way we've come into this game," said Solskjaer. "We're confident and we're looking like a team. If there was ever a time to go into big games, it's now. I think the squad is very capable of winning against any opponent."

PSG have won only one of their 10 away games in all competitions against English opposition (D4 L5). It was a 2-1 victory against Chelsea in March 2016 in the round of 16, the last time they progressed through a knockout round of the Champions League.

HEAD TO HEAD: This will be the first competitive encounter between United and PSG. Four of the last five two-legged encounters between teams from England and France in the Champions League knockout phase have seen the French side progress. No French team has ever beaten United away from home in European competition (D4 L10). In the Champions League, only two French sides have avoided defeat at Old Trafford: Monaco in March 1998 (1-1), Lille in October 2005 (0-0).

RASHFORD AND MARTIAL START, ALVES A FORWARD: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has again shuffled his pack, making five changes to the side that won at Fulham at the weekend. In come Ashley Young, Eric Bailly, Jesse Lingard, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford. Romelu Lukaku drops to the bench. Thomas Tuchel seems to be deploying Dani Alves, one of the most famous full backs in the world, as a wide forward, in Neymar's absence. Kylian Mbappe will lead the line. There is very little in the way of experience on the PSG bench.
