FORTRESS ANFIELD: Liverpool have lost just once in their last 28 at home in Europe. Indeed, the Merseysiders have kept 12 shut outs in their previous 18 European games in L4.

Sander Berge, Genk midfielder: "This is a big dream, playing against the best team in the world. Anfield is something special. We are going to enjoy it, but we also want to do better than the last games. We have a responsibility for the fans who travel with us."

Felice Mazzu, Genk coach: "I know the results are not so good and the way we have played is not so good. I know it’s not an easy moment but I am calm. I don’t feel the pressure. Klopp: "We have big ambitions in the Champions League and it's an open group. We have to be 100 per cent spot on, we have to make an atmosphere, get these points. For the people at Anfield, we need to focus on this match, same as the players. I don't doubt my players at all, I would feel a bit embarrassed if I had to tell them, 'Don't think about Man City already'."

Some breaking news in the past couple of hours relating to Liverpool and what looks like being a very congested December for the European champions.

Jurgen Klopp insisted Liverpool are solely focused on Genk - but with six changes from the side that beat Aston Villa at the weekend, there's no doubt one eye is on Sunday's top-of-the-table clash with Man City. Joe Gomez, James Milner, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Divock Origi all come in with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Andy Robertson notable names on the bench.
