    The players are tunnelled...

I love Dele Alli - he plays with the attitude I think all players should have, having fun while rustling. His big-game record is excellent, but he's suffering at the moment because it's not quite clear what he is. As a number 10, he does very little when not scoring or assisting, but he's not quite worked out how to play midfield yet, and his team can't afford to be without his goals. His personality is that of a player who should be involved as often as possible - can he find a way?

Pochettino tells BT that Eriksen isn't quite ready for 90 minutes, sort of. He's happy that Alli scored at the weekend and needs to keep going. He thinks this is a must-win game, but also that all games are. It's revelatory stuff.

Elsewhere, Alvaro Morata has just put Atletioc ahead against Leverkusen. In Ukraine, Donetsk and Dinamo Zagreb are at 2-2.

    CHOON!
    19:36
This is huge for Spurs. I'm not sure he's quite a replacement for Eriksen, but if he can add some drive, the guile won't be missed quite as much.

So the state of play in the group, with everyone having played twice, is that Bayern have six points, Red Star have three, and Spurs and Olympiacos have one apiece. If Spurs don't win tonight, they'll probably have to win the return, which will not be easy.

Lives in my endz, now that you ask. Has a Spurs mat outside his front door. Also has his nickname os his car which, I an delighted to tell you, is "Lumma".
    19:23
Pochettino says Spurs weren't great in drawing 1-1 with Watford last time out, but they were a bit better in the last 20 minutes.
    19:22
Obviously Spurs were dematerialised by Bayern last time out, but it's worth noting that the finishing in that game was of as high an order as you'll ever see. Spurs did fold, but they'll play worse than that and lose by the odd goal.
    19:19
Pochettino is really struggling here. He clearly doesn't fancy Christian Eriksen any more, and I wonder how many of his problems relate to that: take your playmaker out, then what? The injuries to Ndombele and Lo Celso haven't helped - it's time for the former to deliver - but yerman is the oil in the engine, and without it they're a collection of parts. It's also the case that Vertonghen and Alderweireld are getting on while Sanchez is decent but not elite and Aurier a liability, so it's not great surprise that the goals against column is as unhealthily healthy as it is.
    19:13
Mauricio Pochettino makes four changes following Spurs' latest disappointment: out go Alderweireld, Rose, Winks and Moura, with Davies, Ndombele, Son and Lamela coming in. They'll also play 4-2-3-1, rather than 3-4-2-1.
