PENALTY! The referee goes to check the footage and it’s a spot-kick to PSG! Barca will feel that’s very harsh, but he was clipped.

Icardi goes down in the box and stays down. It’s hard to see what happened there, he might have been clipped, it was certainly a dramatic fall. VAR will check it.

Moments after picking up a yellow card it's Mingueza again who takes down Mbappe and he gets a talking to from the ref. A red card would surely end any hope Barca have of rescuing this tie.

Mbappe tries to launch a counter-attack and Mingueza goes into the book for dragging him back.

How are Barcelona not ahead!? Dembele again causes the trouble down the Barca left and this time he slides a cross towards Messi, but the skipper can’t quite stretch enough to get the decisive touch and another golden chance goes begging. The goal really does feel like it’s coming, and at this rate if Barca get one then they could quickly get two or three more.

So close! Dest is picked out down the Barca right and cuts into the box, unleashing a powerful shot form an angle that Navas tips onto the bar!

Barca lay siege to the PSG box for well over a minute, looking to thread the eye of the needle with countless probing passes right on the edge of the box. But a chance doesn’t come and Draxler eventually clears.

It’s Dembele again and this time he puts in a decent shot, but Navas is equal to it with a fine save.

The pattern of the game is pretty clear already – Barca pushing high and largely controlling possession, with PSG primed to explode on the counter-attack. It’s quite tactically interesting, although if you’re a neutral you’ll certainly want Barca to score next.

Mbappe is found in space out on the left and he cuts inside to shoot off his right foot, but it’s a comfortable save.

Mbappe puts in a lovely cross, but Icardi’s run is to the near post and Draxler hasn’t continued his to the back post, so there is nobody in blue to meet it.

The game completely opens up as PSG break, but Icardi’s backheel in the box doesn’t find a team-mate. And Barca fly straight down the other end, with Dembele again the player causing problems for the PSG defence. He’s so fast that nobody can get up in support, so he pulls the trigger but shoots over from the edge of the area.

Dembele has been very lively so far and his dangerous run is picked out by Alba’s ball over the top. He doesn’t quite catch his shot right though, and Navas makes a reasonably comfortable save.

Messi goes for goal from the free-kick, but he can’t get it to come down in time and Navas can watch the ball fly over the bar.

Kurzawa goes into the book for a rash challenge on Dembele just as the Frenchman looked to be bursting in behind. It's a bright start to the game, particularly from the visitors.

Messi is again involved around the box, but Alba’s shot is blocked. The numbers that Barca are committing to attacks is pretty extraordinary – they have to go for it, and they certainly are.

First dangerous moment for the hosts as Dembele gets away from his man on the byline and bursts into the box, pulling it back for Messi. The Argentine is immediately closed down in numbers and his shot is blocked, but it’s encouraging for Barca that he got that space.

Paredes whips a free-kick into the box, but Gueye’s flick-on drifts over the bar.
