Mahrez moves central and finds Grealish, now on the right; he feeds in Walker, whose cross goes behind, and Mignolet claims the corner easily enough.

Atleti are down to 10 men at Anfield - Felipe has bee shown what's apparently a dodgy red. They could be on for a serious beating.

Walker snaps a decent crossfield ball over the top for Gundogan, who might shoot, but instead opts to square... to no one.

There's not loads going on here, which will delight Burgge. They've been pretty solid as it goes, though City are moving the ball too slowly.

Yup, here come Brugge again, Vormer finding De Ketelaere just inside the box, and though his first touch isn't great it allows him to swivel and shoot hard towards the near post, Ederson diving to hold.

That goal has given Brugge some confidence and they win a free-kick down the right which Ketelaere will swing in ... and Lang is up! His straight at Ederson, but City should consider themselves warned.

City could do with a bit more pace than they've got in this team - against teams who sit deep, men who can commit defenders are crucial. I don't think it'll be too long into the second half before we see Raheem Sterling.

Mata shows Grealish down the line because he knows he's got him beaten for pace, so the ball goes right and Mahrez wins a corner, which comes to nothing.

Brugge have been a bit more adventurous these last few minutes, Lang finding Vormer down the right. He can't make anything of it, but it's an attack, which is more than they managed in the opening 15 minutes.

'Almost a Keystone Cops element to that goal" says Ian Darke of Brugge's equaliser. I'd love to know what he means by that and I'm pretty sure the man himself has not a scooby.
