Both sides will take that, Juventus because they'll have assumed they'd need to win at home, Villarreal because they went behind so early. It wasn't much of a game in the end, but the second leg should be better. Ta-ra.

Who's shown something each time I've seen him. He feits to move away from goal, darts backtowards the by-line, and dinks a cross that Cuadrado heads clear ahead of Estupinan.

I'd be staggered if anyone scored during them. Neither side is that desperate to, nor that equipped to.

And Parejo swerves it in; Albiol is up! But he can't get anything on it, either because it's too high or because he misjudges it. It looked like the latter to me, but maybe I'm projecting.

That should not stop the game - get fitter. Meantime, McKennie has finally made his way to his seat, and we see how he got hurt again, Estupinan sliding in and making a fair challenge, McKennie landing awkwardly as he tried to ride it.

Morata finds Vlahovic, just outside the box, and he conjured a yard, digging out a low shot that Rulli does well to save. He knows where the goal is and how to find it; hsi deserves and requires better service than he's had tonight.

I don't think he's badly hurt.

He's not had much service, but should also be putting himself about more than he is.

But that Rabiot challenge wasn't a bad thing for Juve, now that he's not been sent off. Chuwueze took a fair bit of treatment, and Villarreal lost a bit of momentum.

And and stamps on Chukwueze's knee! There's a mini-melee, no violence but some jostling and arguing. The Villarreal players want him sent off and Rulli comes out of his goal to make the point; he's booked, then Rabiot is booked. That is the reddest red you'll ever see and I've not a clue how the 58 officials haven't appraised it as such.

He looked like he was going to become a serious player when he first broke into the Barca team, but it's not quite worked out for him. Juve would've shifted him if they could, but he's still got a bit of time left to find his best self.
