Manchester City's Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson has been one of Pep Guardiola's standout players as his team battled their way to a huge treble victory this season. The goalkeeper was again impressive on Saturday night during the 1-0 win over Inter Milan in Turkey, with two outstanding late saves that denied their Italian opponents a crucial equaliser in the Champions League final.

Ederson pulled off two superb saves in the dying minutes of the Champions League final as he helped secure a 1-0 win over Inter Milan.
With the match coming to an end with Rodri’s goal looking like the winner, City were almost inevitably pinned back into their own half as Simone Inzaghi’s men pushed for an equaliser.
Marcelo Brozovic almost teed up a vital leveller on 88 minutes when he sent in a cross from the right, and it was met by Robin Gosens, who headed across the face of goal before Romelu Lukaku shot.
From point-blank range, the Brazilian goalkeeper was able to block the shot with his knee and then defender Ruben Dias scrambled the ball quickly away.
And remarkably, in the sixth minute of stoppage-time, Ederson made another spectacular save, keeping a near post header out - the final moment before the referee blew the full-time whistle as City's Treble was confirmed.
Those saves might not be a huge surprise despite its importance at the late stage of the game, given Ederson has built a reputation as one of the most fundamental players in Pep Guardiola’s system.
Not only are his ball-playing skills regularly used by his outfield team-mates, but he has been known for his incredible shot-stopping abilities, and this was on display not just against Gosens, but several times in the match at the Ataturk Stadium.
