A spectacular volley from Dries Mertens sealed Galatasaray's place in the third qualifying round with a tense 1-0 win over Zalgiris Vilnius.
The second leg in Istanbul was finely poised after a 2-2 first leg draw in Lithuania, and Galatasaray looked nervy in front of their expectant home support inside Nef Stadyumu.
But Mertens scored the pivotal goal in the 31st minute. Kerem Akturkoglu's corner swung to the edge of the penalty box was fiercely fired in on the volley by the former Napoli forward into the bottom corner.
Zalgiris were unable to find an equaliser on a night where Galatsaray were far from their best.
Maccabi Haifa mounted a stunning late recovery to beat Sheriff Tiraspol 4-1 after extra-time.
Haifa went 2-0 down on aggregate when Amine Talal opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 20th minute, but goals from Tjarron Chery, Mahmoud Jaber, Din David and Eric Shuranov ensured the Israeli Premier League club would be in the third qualifying round.
Copenhagen played out a thrilling 6-3 (8-3 on aggregate) win over Icelandic club Breidablik. The Danish Superliga club went 4-1 up before half-time and added a fifth in the 47th minute.
Kristinn Steindorsson replied with a goal of his own in the 51st minute, but 18-year-old Orri Oskarsson finished the tie off by sealing a hat-trick five minutes later against, remarkably, the side his father manages.
Dinamo Zagreb added another two goals to their four from the first leg to beat Astana 6-0 on aggregate.
An Aleksandr Marochkin own goal and a strike from Antonio Marin shortly before full-time in Kazakhstan sealed their place in the third qualifying round.
Rakow are into the third round after a 1-1 draw at Qarabag. The Polish side won the first leg 3-2, but extended their advantage thanks to a fine curling strike from Fran Tudor into the top corner in the 52nd minute. Redon Xhixha pulled a goal back seven minutes later but it was only a consolation.
Molde came back from 1-0 down against HJK Helsinki in the first leg to win the second 2-0. Kristian Eriksen (74') and Ola Brynhildsen (89') scored the decisive goals for the Norwegian side late on.
Servette needed penalties to produce a surprise aggregate win over Belgian side Genk. The game finished 2-2 after normal time. With neither able to find a winner in extra-time with the aggregate score at 3-3, Servette won the shoot-out 4-1.
Faroe Islands club Klaksvik also secured a shock win over Swedish club Hacken. The first leg finished goalless but in Sweden Klaksvik won the penalty shoot-out 4-3 following a 2-2 draw after extra-time.
